Positions

Please see the list below for the available Intermountain AmeriCorps direct service positions for the 2017-2018 program year (September 1, 2017 - July 15, 2018). Positions will be filled as soon as qualified applicants are found.

The status of each position shows whether it is open, closed, filled, or pending. "Pending" means that the site is considering and interviewing one or more applicants at this point, but it is not officially filled yet.

Cascade School District Work with special needs students in life skills, job training, and mentorship; and develop a program to increase employment of these individuals in the local community. Leavenworth Open

Chelan Douglas Community Action Council Teach small business job training classes to economically disadvantaged community members. Wenatchee Open
Cascade School District Tutor elementary school students in math at Peshastin-Dryden Elementary. Peshastin Open
Literacy Council of Chelan & Douglas Counties Support adult students who are learning English to increase their employment and citizenship opportunities (two positions available, one requires fluency in Spanish). Wenatchee One Position Open
SkillSource Wenatchee Help teach job training and skill building workshops to economically disadvantaged adults. Wenatchee Open
SkillSource Wenatchee Provide direct services to improve the basic skills of at-risk youth working on their GED or catching up on high school credits. Wenatchee Open
YWCA Provide mentoring and job skills training to economically disadvantaged adults (two positions available). Wenatchee Open
Wenatchee School District: After School STEAM Program Develop and lead after-school activities in science, technology, engineering, or math at area elementary or middle schools (two positions available, one serving elementary school youth and one serving middle school youth). Wenatchee Open
Cascade School District Help tutor and support students in Cascade School District's Early Childhood Education Program (prefer fluency in Spanish). Leavenworth Open
Wenatchee Valley College: Transitional Studies Program Mentor students enrolled in Adult Basic Education and ESL, and recruit and train volunteer mentors. Wenatchee Open
Wenatchee Valley College: Transitional Studies Program-Omak Campus Mentor students enrolled in Adult Basic Education and ESL, and recruit and train volunteer mentors. Omak Open
Wenatchee Valley College: College Assistance Migrant Program Serve as a mentor to a cohort of 60 first-year college students. Wenatchee Open
Cascade School District Tutor middle school students in math at Icicle River Middle School. Leavenworth Open
Cascade School District Increase student literacy by becoming a K-12 student handwriting tutor and mentor. Leavenworth Pending
