What is Intermountain AmeriCorps?

Intermountain AmeriCorps is a part of a national service movement striving to rebuild communities while broadening educational and life skills opportunities for citizens. AmeriCorps offers opportunities for Americans to make a substantial commitment to serve their country, mobilizing at the local level to build a national movement for positive change.

Intermountain AmeriCorps has served rural school districts and community agencies in North Central Washington state since 1993. AmeriCorps Members strive to meet the needs of youth and expand coordination between school districts, community members, and other social service and community agencies.

As a team, we work towards measured goals throughout the year to see the impact made on organizations, community members, and students that members serve throughout our region.

Watch our video below to learn more about who our members are and what motivates them to serve. Their dedication and service are what makes our program great. (We thank our talented member, Kalie Wertz, for creating it.)

If you aren't familiar with our region and want to see what our area looks like, here's an awesome video of a mountain near Wenatchee (produced for the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust). It shows some fairly typical landscape of our entire service area.
